Child Neurology Faculty positions and Leadership Opportunity—Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC)
Positions available due to expansion—remote/hybrid and on-site positions.
Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), the leading academic health system in southern West Virginia, is recruiting additional child neurologists, including a leadership-track position offering compensation in the 400 range and a generous signing bonus. Based at a dedicated children’s hospital, this opportunity offers clinical, academic, and program development potential—all supported by a collaborative neuroscience team and major institutional investment. They have a newly created chief of child neurology position that has been developed due to expansion in this division.
Position Highlights:
• Faculty positions and Leadership Role Available: Take a leading role in the growth of pediatric neurology—compensation up to $400K based on experience, significant signing bonus.
• Academic Faculty Appointment: Teach pediatric and neurology residents and medical students from WVU and WVSOM while engaging in clinical practice and program development.

CAMC Neuroscience Institute:
• 13 fellowship-trained neurologists (MS, Stroke, EMG/NCS, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Cognitive, Pediatric, Neurocritical Care, Headache)
• EMU, Comprehensive Stroke Center, 28-bed stroke unit, 12-bed NSICU
• CARF-accredited Medical Rehabilitation Center
• ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency and newly launching Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship
• Active clinical research with infrastructure to support trials and academic productivity
• New 30,000 sq. ft. CAMC Neuroscience Center: A state-of-the-art, freestanding center currently under construction to house integrated neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, and research programs.
• Expanding EMU Program: Level 4 EMU status in development, including pediatric monitoring.
CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital—A freestanding facility featuring:
• 30-bed General Pediatrics/Adolescent Unit, 30-bed Level III NICU and 9-bed Level I PICU
• Pediatric EMU and 24/7 EEG tech coverage
• Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center
• Outpatient pediatric neurology and specialty clinics
