Academic Heart Failure Cardiology Opportunity in Charleston, WV
The Charleston Area Medical Center Institute for Academic Medicine is seeking to employ one or more BE/BC Non-Invasive cardiologists with subspecialty training in heart failure. This dynamic opportunity involves joining an elite cardiology team and participating in the formative years of building a nationally recognized heart failure program. The center has state-of-the-art advanced imaging and intensive care unit facilities that are supported by 8 catherization labs, 3 dedicated vascular interventional labs and 3 EP labs. During the formative years of the program the position may involve developing an outreach program which may involve some travel to satellite offices. These positions offer protected time for teaching, research and program development.
They have a position for an experience candidate with leadership skills as well as one for a recently trained heart failure cardiologist. They are seeking physicians with strong core values, interest in research and passion for teaching.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Base salary of $527,676 plus 50k sign on bonus
• Quarterly production and quality bonuses
• 401K retirement plan,
• Occurrence-based malpractice insurance
• CME allowance of $5k annually
• $2,500.00 annually for Dues and Subscriptions
• 20 days paid time off
• Additional 10 days’ time off for CME
Requirements:
• MD from an accredited university medical school.
• Board eligible or board certified in cardiology and fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure
• Ability to obtain a West Virginia state medical license and DEA
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Charleston Area Medical Center
