Seeking BC/BE Endocrinologist! Affinity Medical Center is seeking to recruit a BC/BE Endocrinologist for employment in hospital affiliated group or to assist in establishing a private practice in the community. This is a great opportunity for a physician to practice his or her specialty with a collegial medical staff and provide a much needed service to the patients of Affinity Medical Center. This area boasts an urban flavor with around 400,000 residents in the county, yet has a small town culture. In addition to great primary and secondary school systems (ranked in Ohio’s top 10), there are many colleges and universities in the area, as well as many cultural attractions within the community and surrounding area. Even with its many offerings, Massillon strives to maintain an extremely reasonable cost of living. Affinity Medical Center provides quality medical care and dedicated patient treatment to a five-county area. A full range of medical and surgical services are offered, including a 12-bed technologically advanced intensive care unit, a nine bed cardiovascular intensive care center including two CVOR suites and two cardiac catheterization labs. Radiology services include both a 64-slice and a 16-slice CT capability and a state-of-the-art MRI service. In addition, Affinity also offers a specialized Emergency care (level III trauma certification), Obstetrics, Wound Care, Occupational Health Services, Geriatric Psychology Unit, Pain Management center and a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The employment model for physician practices, as well as other models, is embraced at Affinity. The hospital currently manages several multi-specialty physician practices located within the market area. Additionally, Affinity is a teaching center for the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and accredited by AOA (American Osteopathic Association).
