Cognitive / Behavioral Neurologist Hackensack University Medical Center – Hackensack, New Jersey A member of Hackensack Meridian Health Position Overview The Center for Memory Loss & Brain Health within the Department of Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) is seeking a full-time, Board Eligible/Board Certified Cognitive / Behavioral Neurologist to join its growing academic program. This position offers a faculty appointment at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, with rank and role at the Dementia Center commensurate with experience. Qualifications • MD or DO with completion of Neurology residency • UCNS-accredited fellowship in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry • Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and clinical research Clinical Focus Care for patients with: • Mild cognitive impairment • Dementia and neurodegenerative disease • Patients at risk for cognitive decline Academic & Research Opportunities The Center actively supports: • Clinical trials • Translational and outcomes research • Teaching of medical students, graduate students, and residents Program Highlights The Center for Memory Loss & Brain Health utilizes an interprofessional care model including: • Neurology • Geriatrics • Psychiatry • Neuropsychology • Social work • Rehabilitation therapy The program emphasizes: • Patient-centered care • Accurate diagnosis and advanced therapies • Reducing health disparities • Supporting caregivers and preventing burnout HUMC is a participating site in the CMS GUIDE Program, an innovative payment model designed to deliver comprehensive dementia care in the community and reduce emergency visits, hospitalizations, and long-term placement.
