Outpatient Bariatric Surgery Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Bronx St. Barnabas Health System is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bariatric Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Bronx. Our Bronx location offers state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, as well as a diverse and dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, serving a diverse population in one of the most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods in New York City. This is 100% outpatient, Monday-Friday position. No call is required. The group is looking for someone with previous experience or an interest in bariatric surgery. The successful candidate will work closely with our bariatric surgeons to provide comprehensive care to patients before and after weight loss surgery. Responsibilities include: Assessing patients' medical history, physical condition, and weight loss goals Collaborating with surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans Administering pre- and post-operative care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medication Educating patients on the risks and benefits of weight loss surgery, and providing support throughout the recovery process SBH Health System, a community-based, patient-friendly healthcare system serving individuals and families in the Bronx, New York. Central to our healthcare system is St. Barnabas Hospital, a 422-bed, not-for-profit, nonsectarian, acute care community hospital and Level 2 Trauma Center authorized to treat the most critically ill and severely injured patients.
