Nurse Practitioner - Sleep Medicine Join a Leading Sleep Medicine Practice Opportunity Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join a prestigious healthcare institution specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. This is a full-time, 100% outpatient position with no weekends and no call. As a full-time Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing sleep disorders, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and improve patient outcomes. Core Duties: Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and sleep-focused evaluations. Analyze diagnostic sleep studies, such as polysomnograms and home sleep apnea tests. Collaborate with physicians to establish accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans. Treatment Planning and Management: Create and implement customized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications, therapies, and other interventions for sleep disorders. Educate patients on lifestyle changes and sleep hygiene to optimize treatment outcomes. Follow-Up and Monitoring: Manage follow-up visits to assess treatment success and adjust plans as needed. Track patient progress and coordinate specialist referrals when appropriate. Maintain thorough and up-to-date patient records. Patient Advocacy and Support: Provide compassionate care, supporting patients and their families throughout their treatment journey. Address patient inquiries and offer ongoing support. Candidate Profile: Valid NP license in Virginia required. Experience in sleep medicine or related fields is preferred. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Commitment to patient-centered care. Ability to excel in a collaborative healthcare environment.
