Available Positions:
Psychiatry Residency Program Director
- Oversee curriculum, resident education, recruitment, and program accreditation.
- Lead a collaborative academic environment with strong faculty support.
- Manage a residency program accredited for 6 residents per year.
Addiction Psychiatrist
- Provide clinical care in addiction psychiatry.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents.
- Requires completion of an addiction psychiatry fellowship.
Academic General Psychiatrist
- Provide patient care in an 18-bed adult inpatient psychiatry unit.
- Teach and supervise residents and medical students.
- Attractive schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, shared coverage.
Department Overview:
The Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry has 21 faculty members specializing in Addiction Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine-Psychiatry. Accredited for 6 psychiatry residents per year, the program is known for excellence in training and patient care. CAMC also hosts an APA-accredited clinical psychology internship and a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry residency (2 residents annually), preparing psychiatrists for diverse clinical settings.
