Recruiting Advanced Practice Providers for Cardiac Surgery ICU We are currently recruiting full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Heart & Vascular Institute at Hartford HealthCare. APPs play a vital role as members of the Cardiac Surgery team, delivering expert, compassionate care to patients in our 18-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (ICU), step-down unit, and floor settings. APPs will manage preoperative and postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients, perform bedside procedures such as central venous and arterial line placement and intra-aortic balloon pump removal, and provide care for patients undergoing advanced procedures, including heart transplants, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), mechanical circulatory support, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
