The University of Virginia Department of Neurology seeks a General Child Neurologist or a Child Neurologist with expertise in Movement Disorders or Motor Training at the Assistant Professor level.

We are a division of 10 attending physicians, supported by advanced care providers and a collaborative team of related specialists, including pediatric neuropsychologists, pediatric neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, a dietitian, genetic counselors, developmental pediatricians, and neonatologists. Together, we deliver multidisciplinary care tailored to the complex needs of our patients and families.
Our team of pediatric neurologists brings expertise across a broad spectrum of neurological conditions. Areas of specialization include epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, headaches, neurocutaneous disorders, developmental regression, metabolic genetic disorders, movement disorders (including tics and Tourette’s), pediatric neurovascular disorders such as stroke and thrombosis, pediatric demyelinating disorders, and traumatic brain injury.
Pediatric neurological consultation is available in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Inpatient care is provided through UVA Children’s Hospital and our state-of-the-art Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. We are also proud to offer a TS Alliance-recognized Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic, directed by Dr. Howard Goodkin.
