Academic Addiction Psychiatry Opportunity in Saginaw, Michigan

Position Overview:
CMU College of Medicine and CMU Health are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Addiction Psychiatrist to join our academic faculty in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a full-time, permanent position with a primary focus in ambulatory addiction psychiatry, though future inpatient opportunities may be available. This faculty role offers a balance of clinical work, teaching, and protected time for research or scholarly activities.
Position Highlights:
• Academic appointment with the opportunity to teach residents and fellows (including psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship)
• 10–20% protected time based on candidate interests
• Salary range: Median to 60th percentile MGMA, plus incentive compensation
• Collaborative work environment with a growing medical school and residency programs
• Visa sponsorship not available
Clinical Focus:
• Outpatient addiction psychiatry with potential to expand into inpatient settings
• Faculty engagement in quality education in clinical environments
• Opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, resident/fellow mentorship, and scholarly output
Qualifications:
• MD or DO, with Board Certification/Eligibility in Psychiatry
• Fellowship-trained in Addiction Psychiatry (required)
• Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license
• Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, education, and research
